Call for Participants “JENESYS Phase III ~Japan-ASEAN Network of Exchange for Sustainable Partnership”

Asia

JICE will implement the “JENESYS Phase III ~Japan-ASEAN Network of Exchange for Sustainable Partnership” promoted by the Government of Japan (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan). This program marks the first-ever implementation of a hybrid invitation-dispatch initiative aimed at fostering exchange in the economic and social fields between Japan and ASEAN countries.

The main theme is Social Business — addressing shared social challenges between Japan and ASEAN. Participants will be divided into two thematic groups:

  • Environmental Issues & Climate Change
  • Digital Infrastructure Development

Over the course of approximately two weeks in both Japan and Thailand, participants will engage in lectures, site visits, and discussions. On the final day, they will present a social business plan aimed at solving a common social issue between Japan and ASEAN.

We are now recruiting 24 participants from ASEAN countries in this program from university students, graduate students, and young professionals.

We welcome applications from individuals who have a strong interest in solving social issues shared by Japan and ASEAN, as well as in economics, business, policymaking, and social challenges. Those already involved in social business or aspiring entrepreneurs will find this a valuable opportunity for networking. JENESYS alumni are also eligible to apply.

If you are eager to engage in meaningful discussions, build networks, and apply your experience to your career while contributing to the resolution of shared social issues between Japan and ASEAN, we warmly invite you to apply.
