Japanese language extra-curriculum course at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU)
Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE), with the support of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), started the Japanese language extra-curriculum course at UAEU from February 22nd, 2015.
JICE dispatched one Japanese language teacher to operate the classes 4 times a week (2 classes each for female and male students respectively) with the aim of acquiring Japanese basic language level. It was delighted to witness that more than 100 students were willing to attend this course for registration. Many attendees didn’t hesitate to repeat Japanese words and phrases and responded to the questions at the class.
JICE will be engaged in human resource development at UAEU to increase the number of UAE students who wish to study in Japan.
