JICE signed MOU with TVTC for KASPTT in Japan
On February 5, 2011, Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE) signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Technical and Vocational Training Cooperation (TVTC), the Saudi governmental organization under the Ministry of Labor, for the arrangement of the King Abdullah Scholarship Program for Technical Trainers (KASPTT) in Japan.
TVTC started KASPTT for the purpose of providing TVTC college graduates holding diploma in engineering and technical fields with opportunities to continue their education and to obtain Bachelor’s Degree in overseas universities for higher studies. After graduation, they are expected to become teachers at TVTC technical institutes and colleges.
The MOU, which was signed by Ms. Masako Kishimoto, Managing Director, Overseas Business Department, JICE and H.E. Mr. Saleh A. S. Alamr, Vice Governor for Development, TVTC states that JICE provides the several cooperation activities as the academic coordinator such as finding universities who accept KASPTT students in Japan, supporting the universities and TVTC for the successful implementation, implementing pre-departure orientation, daily-life support and so on.
JICE is going to receive 1st batch KASPTT students in September, 2012.
