Joint Coordinating Committee was held in Saudi Japan Automobile High Institute

On February 20th 2013, Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) of Saudi Japan Automobile High Institute (SJAHI) Project, comprising the representatives from both countries (Technical and Vocational Training Corporation(TVTC) and SJAHI from Saudi Arabia, and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry(METI), Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association(JAMA), and JICE from Japan) was held in Jeddah to share the outcome and progress of the Project Phase Ⅲ ending in March 2013. At the same time the representatives signed the Minutes of Discussions(MOD) for the cooperation for next Japanese fiscal year. In JCC, SJAHI staff reported the situation of usage and management of the training equipments provided by Japanese side, the results of training in Japan for both instructors and managers of SJAHI, and the Mid-Term Management Plan and HOSIN KANRI Management 2013.

Commemoration Ceremony for 10th Anniversary of Establishment of SJAHI was held in June 2012. Since its establishment, more than 2,000 Saudi youths graduated from SJAHI and have played active part in the automobile industry in Saudi Arabia. With these achievements, SJAHI project won high reputations from both countries, and the both governments reached the agreement to extend the cooperation period of 3 years and 6 months after 2013 before signing the above-mentioned MOD.
