The JICE delegation headed by JICE President Ms. SachikoYamano visited Jiangsu Province from June 3 to June 5, 2015.
The other delegation members were Mr. Naomichi Uchida, Managing Director of International Training Department and Ms. Fei Katori, China Project Office of JICE.

The delegation met with Mr. Shi Zhiyu, Director of Division of International Cooperation, Jiangsu Provincial Commission of Health and Family Planning, and they confirmed the further cooperation to support the Jiangsu Health International Exchange Program.
This exchange program was based upon the agreement concluded in 2012 regarding the dispatch of medical doctors from Jiangsu Province to Japan, and has been conducted continuously in Japan for the leading medical doctors from Jiangsu Province.

Although this program had been originally started in Europe, nowadays it is generally recognized as the one implemented in Japan under the category of human resource development for high-level medical doctors from Jiangsu Province.

During their visit, the delegation and Jiangsu Provincial Commission of Health and Family Planning discussed to expand the areas for recruiting applicants of medical doctors in this program to contribute further to medical professionals and medical services.

The delegation and Mr. Shi also shared their thoughts on "China-Japan Medical Review & Exchange Meeting" scheduled in July, a three-year accomplishment of Jiangsu Health International Exchange Program.

The delegation had a talk with Mr.Xu Long,Vice-President,Jiangsu People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries、Mr.Zhou Weidong, Deputy Secretary-General and Mr.Wu Dan on making every effort for the implementation of this exchange program in other areas of Jiangsu Province.

In this context, JICE President Ms. Yamano and Mr. Uchida of Managing Director had visited from May 27 to 29 the China-Japan Friendship Association to speak with Ms.Wang Xiuyun Vice-President,about the future collaboration for the strategic and global implementation of this program in China.
