Course list for individuals

The aim of these courses is to teach corporate culture and customs in Japan and the mindset of Japanese people, as well as to instill an awareness of manners while studying vocabulary and expressions that are indispensable for working in Japan. The course can be taken either online or in the classroom.

Target This course is designed for people in their first to third years of working for a Japanese company or for people intending to work at a Japanese company.
Japanese Proficiency Applicants should have passed N3 or higher on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, or the same level. For those who scored between 6 and 10 on this level check test.
Methods Classes and group work are conducted in Japanese.

For Beginner50-hour course for beginners

This is a beginner's level course.
You will learn Japanese corporate culture, customs and manners while studying basic expressions and vocabulary used in a work setting.
The course is designed to teach the basic structure of the Japanese language and to facilitate autonomous learning even after completion of the course.

Target Those who have just started studying Japanese, those at the beginner's level, and those with work experience in Japan (including part-time jobs)
Japanese Proficiency For those who have studied a little Japanese, or are have/are equivalent to N4.
For those who scored between 0 and 5 on this level check test.

Examples of class contents

Contents Subjects covered in the class
Dealing with requests/instructions Learn basic expressions for reporting, communication, consulting and confirmation, and understand their importance.
Dealing with schedule irregularities Learn how to report delays, leaving work early, and absences from work in the flow of conversation.
Telephone skills (internal/external lines) Learn expressions used on the phone and the differences between expressions used on internal lines and those used on external lines.

Residents of Japan: The prices include consumption taxes.
10-hour course: ¥16,500 (with tax) including teaching materials
20-hour course: ¥33,000 (with tax) including teaching materials
50-hour course: ¥82,500 (with tax) including teaching materials
The bank transfer fee must be borne by the participants.

Application Process

  1. Take the Level Check Test. Write down your score.
  2. Please fill out the application form below. JICE will send a confirmation e-mail within 3 business days.
  3. JICE will contact you by e-mail to schedule a Zoom interview.
  4. You can talk with the Japanese teachers at JICE via Zoom. If you have any questions about the Japanese classes, feel free to ask them.
  5. Please transfer the tuition into JICE's bank account. We regret that credit cards cannot be accepted.
  6. JICE will ship the textbook after the bank transfer has been confirmed.
  7. The Zoom URL for the class will be e-mailed to you one day before the class starts.
